Pundaze is a daily visual pun puzzle game. Each day, you'll be presented with an image that represents a pun, and your challenge is to guess what that pun is.
Look at the daily visual pun and enter your guess in the provided letter boxes. You have three attempts to guess correctly. If you need help, you can use hints to reveal letters in the answer.
There's no limit to how many hints you can use! Each hint reveals one letter in the answer. The only penalty is to your pride (and your stats will show how many hints you used).
If you use all three guesses without getting the correct answer, you'll be shown the solution with an explanation of the pun. Don't worry, there's always tomorrow's puzzle to look forward to!
Hard Mode is for the hardcore punsters who want an extra challenge. When enabled, you'll have fewer guesses and no hints available. For those who like to live dangerously!
A new puzzle is released at midnight in your local time zone. So no matter where you are in the world, you'll get a fresh pun to start your day.
Currently, only the daily puzzle is available to play. We're considering adding an archive feature in the future for premium users.
While I appreciate the enthusiasm, I'm not accepting pun suggestions at this time. Creating these visual puns is part of my creative process, and I prefer to keep the ideation in-house to avoid any confusion about ownership or parallel thinking.
Pun difficulty varies from day to day! Some will make you groan with their obviousness, while others might have you scratching your head. That's part of the fun! Remember that hints are always available if you're stuck.
All puzzles use U.S. English spelling (e.g., "COLOR" not "COLOUR") to maintain consistency. This is specified in the game instructions and helps avoid confusion when the answer contains words with regional spelling variations.
No, you can play Pundaze as a guest. However, creating a free account allows you to track your statistics, maintain your streak across devices, and compare your performance with other players.
Pundaze tracks your games played, win rate, current streak, max streak, and average number of guesses per solved puzzle. If you're signed in, these stats will be saved to your account.
After completing a puzzle, you can see how your performance compares to other players in terms of average guesses, average hints used, and solve rate. This gives you a sense of how you stack up against the Pundaze community.
Yes! I'm planning to introduce premium features in the future, including access to a puzzle archive so you can play puzzles you might have missed. Stay tuned for announcements.
Basic game progress is saved locally on your device if you play as a guest, but this data won't transfer between devices and could be lost if you clear your browser data. For the best experience, I recommend creating an account.
If you encounter any bugs or technical issues, please email bugs@pundaze.com with details about what happened and what device/browser you were using.
Pundaze is designed to work on modern browsers across desktop and mobile devices. If you're having trouble accessing the game, make sure your browser is up to date.
Currently, Pundaze is available as a web application only. You can add it to your home screen on most mobile devices for an app-like experience. A native mobile app is not currently being planned.
Pundaze is created, developed, and maintained by a single person (that's me, Tom!). From the website code to the puns themselves, it's a one-person operation. You can read more about the history and story behind Pundaze on the About page.
The best way to support Pundaze is to play daily, share your results with friends, and spread the word! Eventually I'd like to start getting some ad revenue to help keep the lights on. In the future, there may be premium options available for those who want to support the game further.
I'd love to hear from you! Submit your thoughts, questions, or feedback via this form.
Yes! Pundaze is family-friendly and appropriate for all ages. However, some of the wordplay might be challenging for very young children. The Terms of Use specify a minimum age of 13 to comply with online privacy regulations.
The name "Pundaze" is a nod to my previous project "#PundayMonday" (which you can read about in the About section) and the fact that there's a new pun puzzle every day—hence, Pun + Days = Pundaze :)
